TICKET PRICES CHANGE FOR AIA STATE BASKETBALL GAMES
PHOENIX, AZ (Feb. 17, 2010) - At an Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Executive Board Meeting held on Tuesday, Feb. 16, the AIA Executive Board approved a change to increase the ticket price at major venues from $8.00 for adults to $10.00 for adults. There was no change to the current $6.00 ticket for high school students and younger with proper id.
Major venues include: professional, collegiate and minor league sporting facilities. For basketball, those venues include Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Jobing.com Arena in Glendale and ASU Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe. All semi-final and finals events will have a ticket price of $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for high school students with proper id. Children five and younger are admitted free.
The increase in ticket price for adults will only take place for the 2010 AIA State Basketball semi-final and championship games. A change in ticket prices for future events in additional sports will be considered at a later date.
