Interesting that we have the same 4 teams in the semi finals this year as last year, and even more unique that the brackets are the same in that we have the same teams playing each other. Pima vs Mogollon and Bagdad vs Gilbert Christian. Also interesting that the lover ranked teams both won in the Semi-finals last year (#5 Mogollon beat #1 Pima and #3 Bagdad beat #2 Gilbert Christian)
Is anyone predicting a repeat of last year with the "underdogs" winning again?
I don't think GC has a prayer, or stated differently, it will take some divine intervention for them to beat Bagdad.
Pima on the other hand is probably praying that Bishop Slade's boys don't pull off another upset. On paper Pima looks better than Mogollon, but I think this game comes down to just a couple of plays that will make the difference (turnover or penalty). With that in mind, I think that Mogollon has historically been a very discipline team whereas I have seen Pima play with brief stretches sloppiness and lack of discipline. Going to be a good game. Mogollon wins the turnover margin 3 to 1 and beats Pima 46 - 40
