Bisbee should be getting their starting QB back, moving Schuller back to WR, which should help passing game, though Schuller can continue playing well at QB if needed. I still see Benson as the clear favorite here, but heavy rain can be a great equalizer and the Pumas are at home. This will be Benson's best test since their two opening games.
Very good points, and we here in Benson would feel a lot better with at least one tough game under kur belts, the last 3 have been over half way through the 1st quarter. I am very excited for Friday, the town is a buzz and really great to see..
Pusch Ridge game at the time did not seem that close to be honest, but I didn't know that Pusch was as good of a team as they have turned out to be, the Empire game actually wasn't close at all, Empire never got past mid field and less then a handful of first downs, but that was a rain soaked contest and very sloppy.. makes me a little nervous... but either way hoping for a good game
I meant Barrow, not Schuller. Both are good players.
Pusch Ridge is solid, but came out flat and unprepared against Benson (and Benson didn't even play all that well either). Both teams are much improved, based on what I've seen and heard. I don't think it would be a given that Benson beats PR again if they were to face (they won't, obviously).
Bisbee was out of sorts when they played PR as they were missing their HC and it was their first game working in a new QB. They eventually righted the ship but then had their off game last week and let an inferior Tombstone team nearly upset them. Bisbee will be ready for Benson. The Bobcats, however, have had this Bisbee game circled (at least in the back of their heads) for a long time. After their first two games, Benson really didn't have a contest. Sure, they were a little unsure about ASU Prep, and maybe Miami was getting some hype, but they stole one from Bisbee last year and recognize that the Pumas will be wanting to beat them very very badly. This one is set up to be a big battle, but when the dust settles and the last popcorn bag drops under the bleachers, I think you'll see another Benson victory with the game essentially over by the third quarter.
I really don't see this one being all that close. If any thing, the rain may make it a bit closer but I think Benson is just too strong for Bisbee. But I could be wrong. I was wrong about Santa Cruz beating American Leadership.
