I agree, Bagdad will have no problem first round but will get challenged the next round when I believe they will face St. David. I only see 2 teams that could challenge Bagdad in the championship, Williams or Superior. Williams had 3 starters out the first time they met and now are healthy and everyone is back. Besides the 3 starters out Williams faced Bagdad the 2nd game of the season and I believe Williams learned a lot through that game and will have a completely different game plan should they face off again. First Williams needs to not overlook Valley Union who I believe they will met in the 2nd round and then get by Superior which will be a challenge in its self. Most people will look at scores of the teams that each team met during the season and base what they believe will be the winner off those scores that can be dangerous to do this time of the year.
1. Bagdad and Superior smash everyone until they meet in Finals
2. Bagdad smashes Superior.
I agree with you, partially. Bagdad and Superior will be playing in the state championship for sure, but I really feel like this one is going to be a dogfight. Both teams matchup pretty well with each other. Both teams are extremely quick but it is going to be tough to try and stop the Loveall duo, and I think with Cruz's speed and throwing ability it is going to be difficult to contain him. Its gonna be a great game!
While I agree that Bagdad and superior are probably the two best teams in the division, and it is likely they will meet for the title, I just don't believe they are going to "smash their way through. The level of competition increases every week. One area for both these teams is depth. Have watched the second string and in my humble opinion there is a significant drop off in talent. Playoff football will test these areas.
