The 42 point mercy rule has been gone for about 5 seasons now, but should the AIA consider bringing it back for the lower classifications?
This past week we saw 3 teams score in the 80's and 1 team scored 96.
I personally think that some of these programs should NOT be fielding varsity teams and that is a big part of the problem. Some of the kids on these teams are even afraid to tackle. And we are talking about kids that are varsity starters.
Schools need to do a better job of determining if it is a safe and/or good thing for their kids to get beat up during a full varsity football game by the Joe City's and Mogollons. And now, the Joy Christians....
So what are your thoughts?
