I believe it was 44 to 14(Superior winning) in the 4th quarter. They had to stop the game because of weather. I don't know what is going to happen at this time or if they will say Superior won the game.
I went to this game and I must say it's the most unfair home field advantage I've ever seen. First of all the refs that were doing this game were all from Superior. One of them even used to be the Junior High basketball coach. Gilbert Christian had two long touchdowns called back for holding when there obviously was no holding involved. The calls were greatly one sided. Another thing is that during the game there were countless people in the stands and behind the Gilbert Christian bench shining lasers into the GC players eyes. The coaches constantly were telling the refs but they stated they couldn't see anything. One of the gc coaches actuactually saw someone shining the laser behind their stands and attempted to run them down. Things like this ruin the game as it could of been a lot closer. Now I'm not saying gc would of won because Superior was the better team but it would of been a little more respectable.
To response to your comments, there was one ref there that used to be from Superior, not all of them. The only TD called back was a reverse and it wasn't a holding call, it was a clip because one of the GC players got upset and pushed a Superior player in the back.
Lasers? Seriously? you think a laser from that far away is going to get in the eye of a player through his facemask while he is moving on the field? That would require a special ops trained sniper to do that if at all possible in the first place.
The game that I witnessed was a well coach Superior team that just came off very disappointing loss the week before and was very hungry and came out hitting a team that had not played anyone yet. I also witnessed the GC players laughing and making fun of the Superior players during warm ups, they even joked about the coach in the weelchair.
I was very suprised at the lack of respect they showed and the way they carried themselves on the feild.
