I know we're only three games into the season but if you had to pick the player who is performing the best year so far for their respective teams who would you pick?
I'll do my assessment on games and film that I've seen so far
Pima- Nose tackle. Not sure of his name but this guy is a beast! Once the snap is off he's going at 110% and doesn't stop til the whistle is blown. Very explosive!
Superior-Chris Grap #5. He's a rb/wr and is very quick. You can tell by the way he runs the ball he has great field vision and even though he's small he runs with force.
Hayden- Wr/Rb #7. This guy can fly. He's about 6'3 and once he's in the open field he does have separation speed. The thing that stuck out to me is that he only has one hand. Very impressive.
Duncan- RB #25. This guy has decent speed but his field vision what makes him good. On film from what I've seen from Duncan is that if you stop him you'll win the game. Easier said than done though.
Ray - Qb- What impresses me about this qb is that he has a cannon and is already 6' but only a freshman. He reminds me of the st David qb. But I'd say more than likely he'll leave Ray after this year as his talents are being used to full potential.
Going to Duncan tonight to watch that game. And then to Joseph City tomorrow night to watch the Joseph City Mogollon game. I am so excited I will get to see about 5 or 6 of the players that have been mentioned so far.
James Loveall has to be added to this list. Kid is a ball hawk 10 INT half way through the season. And he is only a sophomore. Great kid who is humble and very coachable. I think Div VI will be hearing a lot of good things from this kid in the future. Keep it up James!!!
Ed Beasley, Josh Wahlers & Trevor Deason are doing great from Joy Christian. Ed & Josh are Seniors & Trevor a Junior. I personally think they all have a future in this. Ed does great both defense & offense. Josh does great in offense, he makes some great runs & catches. Trevor can run through the line and keep going with his body strength for that touchdown. There are many more on the team that are also worth looking at. Cody Wahlers (I believe is Josh's cousin) has been hurt but still plays and also if well can play great.
