I heard rumor that these two teams needed games this week and attempted to try and schedule. Is this true? If so, why did it not happen? Isn't St. David now playing a team twice? Does anybody know why this couldn't of worked out?
I heard the teams tried to arrange a game, but schedules did not work out. This weeks game between St. David and Hayden was the one regularly scheduled by the aia. The hole for both teams was on 9/23, not in October. Switching that regularly scheduled game to 9/23 would still have left Hayden with a hole in their schedule and St. David could not back out of a regularly scheduled game, obviously. The open date for both teams was in September and JC already had a game that week. I believe the only other option was San Pasqual. That's how I understand things, anyway.
Yes, but holes didn't match up. The open spot was 9/23 and JC had a game that day. Hayden and San Pasqual were the only teams with open spots that week, if I understood correctly; Hayden was the closer choice and they agreed to a second game. Some attempt at re-arranging games was made, but then it became too complicated with too many schools having to change schedules. Bagdad has a full eight games scheduled, so I don't think they had anything to do with JC's open date. My guess is that JC just didn't find an opponent quick enough to fill their hole. It's rough with the new scheduling.
