You guys are wasting your time trying to post to this board. This site is known for FOOTBALL. Baseball folks do not frequent it.
That being said, I'll give you some fat to chew on, probably nothing you don't already know... These are kids that may or may not be lighting the world on fire now, but once they physically mature, they will. Remember that kids typically change a bunch physically during their high school years.
I'm going to extend my comments to 4A as well...
Liberty - Nate Bannister, Paul Panaccione, Ryan Benedict. Bannister will play varsity this year. Watch his development, as he has the potential and physical tools to be a D1 signee / major league draftee in 2012. Benedict is a 2-way football stud. Great speed and can hit the crap out of the baseball. Best suited for the outfield and the mound. All three are playing Freshman Basketball.
Brophy - Brock Hintze is a kid you failed to mention. Pitcher who works extremely hard at his craft and has physical size. When he stops growing and fills out in a couple of years, watch out. Boomer, Moore and Imo are studs. Imo is just plain fun to watch. The kid is a vacuum cleaner. Good luck to all the kids at Brophy. I'm sure there are plenty of decent baseball players there who will find themselves watching from the stands this season. Obviously they are loaded at all levels. Is Moore's arm/wrist healed from his football injury? Is Chase Knox going to play baseball? He has always played for good teams, but never been a superstar. Not sure if some of his reduced playing time was political or reality. Any basketball players in your lot?
O'Connor - Draye Turner, Wes Sutton, Brendon Erickson. Good situation for these kids. O'Connor's varsity lost 16 seniors from a state runner-up team, so all three will play varsity and start most games. Turner will be mainly a DH until he can improve his defensive skills. Sutton will play 3B and SS with some garbage time behind the dish. Erickson will start in the middle infield and will alternate spots depending on who is pitching. Sutton and Erickson are also playing Freshman Basketball, so that may drag their start a bit.
Mt. Ridge - Brandon Vickerman - Power hitting C/3B player who is a good relief pitcher. Other than this kid, the Ridge class is not the greatest this year.
Saguaro - Chris Akmon has been the most dominating player on the club scene for years. Hands down the best hitter and quite a pitcher as well. Remains to be seen if he can return from a severe shoulder injury suffered in basketball. He is back and playing, so watch for him this spring. Should be a varsity player. Brian Faucher should be a varsity player as well. The kid flat brings it from the mound and has been dominating some of the best club teams around since he was 11 years old. Both kids should be throwing in the low to mid 90's before they graduate.
Knox, Clausen, Garcia, Grant, Roberts, Hintze, Butler will round out the freshman team. Graybill, Beall, Tomita, Torrez, and Moore moved up to JV. It fills the roles of the JV Team, making it real strong. Varsity is very solid.
