Hello Alex,. . . Been awhile. 1st and foremost Wishing your daughter great success in the circle this and all years she throws!! I am on the answer to your question as we speak. will get back to you shortly.
As promised Alex , . . . A very good source informs me that in respect 2 the shotput anything over 36ft. discus@ or around 110ft.-115ft. Good luck, go get'em!! I will be watching the pioneers this yr!!
WOW!!! For girls??? Well She did not place in shotput at her first meet and I did not get her result from it but in discus she threw 80' and placed second. There were three schools participating and first place threw 81'. They put her on varsity and I'm wondering if that was not a great decision??
Wow those are very impressive results! I think she did very well for her first meet. In the second meet she placed 1st in shot put and 4th in discus. Only threw 70 feet. She was very off that day. Her first two throws were out which is not the norm for her but I told her as she learns more, she will get more comfortable doing these events. This is her first time ever throwing discus. and shot put she threw in a one day meet in middle school in 7th grade and a one day meet in eigth grade. I am pretty proud of how she has done
I really would have liked to have been there to watch her since she was at another meet and unable to attend the Invitational one at NC. From her results and what I have heard about her, she sound like the "Everson Griffith" of girls track!!! As a parent however I was not upset that she was not there for my daughter to compete against I really would like to watch the Chandler girls at a meet that Pinnacle is not attending because there was more than one stand out at NC even without Hannah being there! I might check out their schedule to see if I can make it to one of their meets!
Second invitational went much better! She went for both shotput and discus. In Shot put she made it to the finals. I told her to concentrate on her own improvement and work on throwing consistently (at least within 4 feet of her average throw) She did that this meet. Each year she can improve that average Is there trainers out there that help with girls involved in track, specifically the throwing events?
