Because grown men show the same maturity level as the average incoming freshman, throwing out accusations and getting into pissing contests over 13-14 yr old kids. Great job all. Can we maybe just stick to scores this week?
by having 300 plus posts you know jason was doing every one a favor. though i only have 160 posts i have been on here for 5 years when tyler bruggman was the hot topic in his search for a school to play for. he went to every top program in the greater phoenix area and his every move was followed on this board. it was a lot of fun to follow back then.
this is a good lesson learned by the rookies that jumped on here from scottsdale to learn. they got way to detailed in their rants. this was just a freshman football game between two schools that will trade players like the wind.
once again it was a fun game to watch despite the score. i saw a lot of good sportsmanship on the field that did not get observed by the fans posting, i guess.
Maybe the problem was that those weren't men, they were mommies. Mostly North Scottsdale Argos now Saguaro moms but isn't is interesting how the crap stopped when Coach Nelson posted a response and signed it with his actual name and home telephone number. That was classic Wade.
His chalenge to put up or shut up was meant with silence. That tells me everything I need to know about the accusors.
You know I understand that these kinds of sites want the traffic but requiring real names in the profiles would keep things more civil. Anonymity allows anyone to say anything without consequence.
my wife and I joined this forum in response to the thread that was eventually removed. I heard from another parent that one of our favorite coaches was mentioned in a negative way and I felt that I had to say something based on out experience over several seasons. We have since commented on a number of different subjects and we appreciate the opportunity to do so.
The coach in question, actualy he isn't even coaching anymore, has a website that I follow and he recently posted an article that I thought captured who he is perfectly. I submit that we need more coaches like this working with our young men not fewer. Here is the link to the story.
The freshman staff is not very good, last week two of the coaches spent the whole pregame on cell phones not even watching there drills. They were 2-6 last year and 1-4 this year and having watched 4 of there games the team is not getting better. The only real good team besides Westview they played was Desert Ridge who committed 8 personal foul penalties while destroying O'Conner in a demoralizing game. Last week at Boulder Creek against a team they matched up well with size wise and numbers wise there own fans/parents started getting a little grumbling growing in the stands as they were shut out 35-0. Something isn't going right when all 3 of your teams (FR/JV/VS) are a combined 3-14 record with there only wins over equally bad Valley Vista and Maryvale.

Nothing wrong with OC's staff, you realize they have played some good teams.
