Sleeper Prospect Gets MAC Offer

Breaking News from Gilbert (Az.) Puma High School OLB Joe Kenn gets first offer

A true sleeper as shown up in the state of Arizona.

OLB Joe Kenn from Gilbert (Az.) Perry didn't show up on many people's preseason radar, but the son of former ASU and Louisville strength coach Joe Kenn, has recently started getting D1 interest and just recently has received his first offer. has the details. "Kent State offered me on Friday night," Kenn says. "Coach McManus called and gave me my first offer and I am very excited."

Kenn (5-11 205) says that he recently sent out his senior highlights and is getting some positive feedback. "I sent my film to all of the MAC schools and Kent State and Eastern Michigan called me back. Eastern Illinois recently contacted me and I camped at NAU this summer."

The Golden Flashes told Kenn they are recruiting him as an athlete, stating he could be an outside linebacker or h-back. He will take an official to Kent on January 15th.

Kenn says that while he is excited, he was not ready to pull the trigger. "I want to see who else all offers before I decide," he says. "But I will always remember that they were my first offer."

Kenn made 44 tackles and 3 sacks for the Pumas in 2010.
