Army, Air Force, Toledo and Montana all offered Hoffpauir previously but it was the University of Colorado that stepped up as the first major conference program to offer the all-Arizona safety.
He says, "I actually didn't know about the offer until today at practice. Coach Taylor (Centennial head coach) walked up to me and said 'Congrats on your first big one'. I didn't know what he was talking about until he said that Colorado just offered me. It is very exciting. I have been waiting quite a while for an offer like this and the patience has paid off."
Besides the offers from the above mentioned programs, Hoffpauir says that Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Washington and Washington State have all expressed interest.

Scout.com Evaluation: Had an outstanding junior year and looks to be one of the top prospects in the state. A bit of a tweener/hybrid safety/OLB Bottomline is, the kid can play! Is a playmaker, tough as nails, explosive tackler, and has great ball skills. Is a player that you want on your team. Is a great student (well above 3.0 GPA) and is also an excellent baseball prospect. Very solid mid-major prospect that should get attention from BCS conference programs.
