24-7Football.com has learned that 2012 Hamilton High School safety Reggie Daniels of Chandler, Arizona has made his verbal pledge to the University of Oregon.
The 6-2 185 pounder chose the Ducks over Arkansas, Boise State (trip), Arizona State and Washington (trip). A versatile defender with great speed and size, Daniels hopes to see early playing time in Eugene.
Daniels confirmed the commitment via text message. He has said in past interviews that he was a fan of the scheme the Duck's defense runs and the relationship between the staff and their players.
Daniels helped the Huskies to the D1 state championship but where they fell to Phoenix Desert Vista last Saturday. Reggie made 83 tackles, 3 sacks and 5 INTs.
Oregon is getting a player that can play either safety spot. He is physical enough to play in the box, has documented track speed, having been timed under 11 seconds in the 100 meters and has the frame to bulk up to a 200 plus pounder.
