Christian Kirk started the scoring off for Saguaro very early in their Thursday night game against Williams Field and the Sabercats never looked back.
Kirk went 76 yards on a TD run to kick the scoring off.
A 21 point 2nd quarter put this game out of reach in the first half. Kare Lyles hit Byron Murphy from 44 yards out, Kamron Johnson plunged in to make it 21-0 and Kirk threw a TD pass to Mike Caddell. 28-0 Saguaro at the half.
Saguaro's offense scored TDs on 4 of their 5 possessions of the half while Williams Field had 3 punts, a missed FG and an INT.
Johnson added a TD to start the second half and Lyles hit Murphy again in the 4th while Williams Field was able to get on the board on a Braden Bushman TD run.
Final: Saguaro 42 Williams Field 7
Two weeks in a row, Saguaro has knocked off the #2 team in D3. They are loaded and the clearcut favorite in division-three.
Kirk accounted for 2 TDs, so did Kamron Johnson and Byron Murphy but how about a game ball to the Saguaro defense for holding a very good Williams Field team to just 7 points.
