21 point first half fuels Centennial to semi-final win over Chaparral

Breakdown

Chaparral got the ball first and moved into scoring position but missed a field goal. That would be as close as the Firebirds would get all night.

Centennial got the ball and went right to star RB Dedrick Young. Young started the scoring off with a 30 yard TD run. 7-0.

Chaparral would punt on their next three possessions of the half while Centennial scored on another Young TD and on an Isaac Steele to Daniel Smith 63 yard pass and the Coyotes took a 21-0 lead into halftime.

The only scoring of the second half was on a 33 yard Joe Navarro field goal.

Final Centennial 24 Chaparral 0. Centennial advances to the D2 title game and will face Liberty.
