Xavier James commits to Montana

Xavier James will be Verrado's first division-one football player

Verrado High School is a newer school in Buckeye, AZ and has not had a division-one football player...until now.

Scout has confirmed that senior wide receiver Xavier James has committed to Montana.

At the time he was offered, James said, "I talked to Coach Semore. He told me that they watched my film and liked how explosive I am, the type of athlete I am and that I have D1 potential."

James is the second Arizona prospect to commit to Montana. Tucson Salpointe OT Dylan Eickmeyer pledged this summer.

James (6-2 180) was named 1st team all-section for the Vipers in 2014. He caught 20 passes for 329 yards and 4 TDs that year.

Verrado is currently 1-0 and faces Yuma Gila Ridge on Friday.
