Game of the Week

Mesa at Williams Field

Mesa is one of the surprise teams in the state, having lost just one game (to Highland). Like his team, receiver Jackson Clement has come out of no where and established himself as one of the state's top targets. He has caught 29 passes for 727 yards and 11 TDs. Williams Field head coach Steve Campbell has his team rolling, their only loss is to Desert Vista. They are balanced on offense and have created a ton of turnovers on defense (10 INTs).

Games I will be at

Liberty at Chaparral (Thurs)

Liberty is on a two game winning streak after being welcomed into D1 with five straight losses. The Lions are led by receivers Deyton and Alex Jackson on offense while linebacker Chase Hulbert is the leader on D. Chaparral has done better in their move up from D2, sporting a 5-2 record. They had a tough battle last week in an overtime loss to Centennial. The strength of their team is on defense where safety Kurt Shughart, DE Brandon Jamison and LB Parker Walton make a ton of plays.

Shadow Mountain at Paradise Valley

This game features two of the better pass-catch duos in the state. PV's Daniel Bridge-Gadd to Jacob Brown and Darrion Spottsville to Jake Welsheimer on the Shadow Mountain side, make this an exciting game to be at from an offensive standpoint.
