San Diego State offers 3 at Saguaro; Nichols, Cord, Harris all get new offers

* Mesa (Ariz.) Desert Ridge DE/WR Jalen Harris was offered by San Diego State.

Harris also has offers from Oregon State, Colorado State, UNLV, Arizona.

Harris was dangerous on both sides of the football for Ridge, helping the Jaguars reach the D1 state title game. Harris (6-3 205) caught 50 passes for 757 yards and 5 scores. On defense he terrorized offenses, racking up 70 tackles and 17.5 sacks.

* Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro junior TE/DE Jared Poplawski received an offer from San Diego State.

He also has offers from San Jose State, UNLV, Memphis, Hawaii, Arizona State and Nevada.

Poplawski (6-4 230) helped Saguaro win the D2 state title this year. He caught 32 passes for 438 yards and 6 scores while making 20 tackles, 5.5 for a loss, 2 sacks and 1 interception on defense.

* Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro TE/OLB Kyle Soelle was offered by San Diego State.

Soelle also has offers from UNLV, Army, Hawaii, San Jose State and Nevada have also offered.

Soelle actually did not play at Saguaro last year, recently transferring from Notre Dame Prep. He made 21 tackles and 3.5 sacks last year for the Saints and added 37 receptions for 334 yards and one score.

* Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro safety K.J. Jarrell was offered by San Diego State.

He also has offers from Hawaii, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Utah, Texas A&M, Colorado, Wisconsin, Arizona, Oregon State, Arizona State, Washington and UCLA.

Jarrell made 56 tackles and one interception and was named 2nd team all-section.

* Peoria (Ariz.) Sunrise Mountain QB Chase Cord was offered by UTEP.

Cord also has offers from Nevada, Boise State, Illinois, Iowa State, Indiana and Colorado.

Cord (6-3 185) had a great junior year, helping the Mustangs to a 10-1 season. He completed 71% of his passes for 3,173 yards, 52 touchdowns versus just 6 interceptions. He added 1,059 rushing yards and 13 rushing scores.

* Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial TE/DE Andrew Nichols from Peoria Centennial added a new Ivy League offer from Yale.

Army and Harvard have also offered.

Nichols (6-3 230) helped Centennial to the D1 state title last year, starring both ways. He was named his section's lineman of the year after recording 59 tackles and 13 sacks as a defensive end. On offense he caught 15 passes for 190 yards and two scores.
