Nine players hauled in D1 offers in Arizona on Monday

Kicker on Fire

Williams Field kicker Brandon Ruiz was Arizona's only kicker holding a division-one offer and then he exploded today, adding three more offers.

First, Brown extended an offer to go along with his offer from Army. And then two Pac 12 schools jumped in the mix. First Arizona offered on Monday and then Oregon State followed with one.

Ruiz has a big time leg, going 12 for 17 last year with a long of 51 yards.

First For OLs

Two of Arizona's top offensive line prospects received their first offers.

Queen Creek senior Mike Young was offered by Boise State. Bronco OL coach Scott Huff, an Arizona native, was at practice and extended an offer shortly after.

Junior center Max Wilhite from Desert Edge hauled in his first offer as well, confirming that New Mexico State offered at practice today.

First for Southern Az Wideout

It has been some time since a D1 player came out of Casa Grande but it looks like they will have one in the 2017 class in Casa Grande wide receiver Trevor Russell.

Russell was offered by Columbia on Monday.

Russell (5-10 160) had a big junior year, catching 64 passes for 1,214 yards and 19 scores.

Lobos Raid Their Neighbors

The University of New Mexico is recruiting Arizona extremely hard and 24-7Football.com has confirmed that the Lobos extended offers to two talented Az prospects.

Tempe DE My-King Johnson hauled in his fourth offer from UNM. The sack master also has offers from Arizona, UNLV and Nevada.

UNM also offered Hamilton WR Chance Brewington.

Brewington has offers from Idaho, New Mexico State and NAU.

Air Force Hits the State Hard

This has been a common trend as Air Force has landed many Az prospects over the years.

Monday, the Falcons offered Saguaro OL Corey Stephens, Saguaro LB Kyle Soelle and Centennial DE Andrew Nichols.
