Chase Cord commits to Boise State

Three-star QB Chase Cord from Peoria (Ariz.) Sunrise Mountain decided to commit to Boise State on Monday.

Cord says, "After talking with my family, constant prayer and soul searching, I have decided to close my recruitment and commit to Boise State University."

Cord picks the Broncos offers from Utah State, Utah, Wyoming, Columbia, San Diego State, NAU, Oregon State, Princeton, Harvard, UTEP, Nevada, Illinois, Iowa State, Indiana and Colorado.

Cord (6-3 185) had a great junior year, helping the Mustangs to a 10-1 season. He completed 71% of his passes for 3,173 yards, 52 touchdowns versus just 6 interceptions. He added 1,059 rushing yards and 13 rushing scores.

Cord is the second Arizona prospect to commit to Boise this year as Queen Creek OT Mike Young pledged to the Broncos last week.
