UC Davis did it last year, getting early commitments from big time players in Christian Skeptaris and Brandon Jamison both from Chaparral. The Aggies have done it again, this time heading across town and securing a commitment in the 2017 class from Desert Edge quarterback Tehran Thomas.

Desert Edge won their first ever state championship in football last year led by Thomas who threw for 1,149 yards and 17 touchdowns versus just four interceptions. He added a very impressive 1,652 yards and nine more scores on the ground.
