Creston Cooledge commits to NMSU

Creston Cooledge made history over the weekend.

The Surprise (Ariz.) Valley Vista offensive tackle is the first player in school history to commit to a FBS football program.

Cooledge (6-5 255) was on an unofficial visit to see New Mexico State play Louisiana-Lafayette and pledged to the Aggies before he left Las Cruces.

Cooledge says, "I just really loved the tight knit group they have there and fell in love with the whole coaching staff. I felt like I was a player the whole time I was there."

Cooledge also had offers from Air Force, Montana, UC Davis, Columbia and Cornell.
