Class of 2005: David Burrows

Mountain View (Mesa) is #1, and Mr. Burrows is a huge reason why...

Mountain View High School Junior David Burrows is making a big impact on the newly ranked #1 Toros Team this season.  Burrows, the only junior starter for Coach Ernst, is not new to basketball, but will become a household name this year and next as he continues to help his team win the close games.
Burrows scored 12 points in the championship game last month at the Las Vegas Invitational, and quietly followed up with 13 points againt Brophy in the highly covetted McClintock Holiday Tournament as Mountain View gained back-to-back holiday championships.
At 6'5", 175 pounds, Burrows has been called into action as a post player for the Toros, but can also transition extremely well at the wing (3) position.  With a nice stroke, solid footwork, and exceptional defensive skills, Burrows will continue to improve his ranking and should get many looks for the next level. He is a coach's dream-type player.  One who plays the game end-to-end, hussles, and plays with dedication and desire - something you expect from an Ernst-coached player.
Burrows has played club ball since the 6th grade, and has been part of three state AAU championship teams, and an ARC National Championship in 2002.  Burrows is also and exceptional student.
