2005 Player Profile: Darnell Terry

Darnell Terry is a top point guard for Carl Hayden, but few get updated on this top player since their school team is not in the hunt this season. Here's an update on this excellent player.

Darnell Terry is a 6'0, 150lbs junior point guard for Carl Hayden High School's Varsity basketball team, and has played varsity since his freshman year. He's averaging an incredible 20 points, 9 assists, 2 steals and 6 rebounds per game.

Terry has played at a very high level since his youth years.  With several successful seasons playing club ball for the Arizona Stars and Copperstate, Terry has won an Arizona AAU title, and has played at the AAU Nationals and many other top club events around the country.

Known for his incredible quickness and ability to break his defender down, Terry is teamed with backcourt mate and longtime friend Roy McLemore.  Together, these two create one of the most dynamic back court tandems in the state.  Most do not see or get much info on this player due to the fact Carl Hayden is down from great years past, but don't count these guys out yet.

Terry's future goal is to attend a major University with a major in Computer Science and play basketball.  He is an excellent student with a 3.1 GPA.
