Michael Crowell - Mesa

The "Elite Eight" tips off tonight, but before 7pm. PrepAZ.com brings you "Eight that matter" all day long...

6'6" SR, Michael Crowell can be best described as the "quiet one" for the #1 Mesa Jackrabbits.  Rarely do you hear or read about him in the newspapers, websites or message boards across Arizona.  Yet he is one of the best in the class of 2004, not only skilled but has the attitude of a champion.

Playing alongside the West Coast # 1 wing (Lee Cummard), Crowell has a group of teammates in the 2005 class already drawing interest from colleges across the country.

Yet Crowell has sacrificed his numbers, minutes and exposure.

This skilled wing has dropped 3's in crunch time, cleared a board in traffic to win games, and comes to play every contest.

Crowell has drawn interest from numerous low major programs, and if he attended another school could very well have his athletic future already set, but he continues to be the "quiet one" for Mesa.

Mesa tips-off tonight vs. Deer Valley at 7pm.  Look for Michael Crowell to idly sit and wait for his time to hit the big 3, grab the key rebound, and make the unselfish pass.

Congratulations MC, you have had a great career at Mesa, and PrepAZ.com HAS NOTICED!
