Traveling Team: CTB All-Stars

The CTB All-Stars kick of national competiton this Friday in Las Vegas...

Last year former Division I Coach Gary Trousdale founded and directed the Arizona Cagers Basketball Program - This year he decided to break off and focus on one national travel team - the CTB All-Stars. (Crash The Boards)

Lee Cummard (BYU) played for Trousdale and went from an unknown to the #1 wing prospect in the west.

This year the CTB All-Stars will have a number of quality Division I prospects including some of the top Jr's/Sophs in Arizona, and look to have other class of 2005 - 2006 prospects burst on the scene.

The CTB All-Stars Class of 2005:

Former Marcos de Niza star and now McClintock High School, LJ Jones is back and ready to continue his quest of establishing himself as a top west coast power forward. At 6-6, 260, Jones is the strongest and most physical player in Arizona.

Desert Vista wing, 6-6 junior Johnny Pinto, can shoot it from 3, run the floor and plays bigger than his 6-6 frame. Pinto is already hearing from a number of Division I schools. Mesa Mt. View's 6-5 shooter David Burrows holds down one guard spot. Burrows is a terrific long range shooter. 6-2 Dutch Perryman (track star who will not play until May) helped Desert Vista on the run in the State Championships lighting up the nets from 3. Tucson's Desert View star, 6-5 Michael Martin, an athletic wing who plays above the rim and can defend with the best. Skyline High Schools 5-9 PG Jerry Herzog, a lighting quick floor general and Tucson's top guard Devin Stewart hold down the 1.

The CTB All-Stars Class of 2006

6-7, 220 Wil Donahue has the size and strength to burst on the scene with his physical play and touch inside 15ft. Donahue is still growing and could top at 6-10 before he is done. 6-2 shooter Justin Nelson, coming off a hand injury, is a combo guard who can shoot it from 3 and swing to the 1. 5-9 PG Julliaan Irvin (injured and will not play until May) is lighting quick, great ball skills, exceptional floor leader and can shoot it. Irvin could elevate his status to a top west coast PG in 06 before this season is over.
