R-E-S-P-E-C-T: TJ Benson Finds It In Los Angeles

TJ Benson, a 5-10 PG from Corona went head to head with the #1 rated PG in the Country. The outcome surprised everybody except TJ Benson...

Outplaying Mario Chalmers (Kansas bound) last week in the adidas invitational in Los Angeles, TJ Benson is finally gaining interest and respect in the NCAA Division I world of college basketball.

Chalmers the #1 rated point guard (class of 2005) in most National publications, Benson went after Chalmers for 40 minutes of intense basketball for the CTB All Stars. Eyes wide open, the recruiting gurus went scrambling to see who this short, long haired PG from Arizona could be, and discovered he is an unsigned senior looking for the respect he so long deserved.

He has finally got it!

TJ's phone is ringing, not only from coaches, but the Pump brothers of Double Pump Inc., the most powerful people in the world of college recruiting. Check out www.doublepump.com to see for yourself.

Benson has been invited to play for Double Pump #1 team during the July recruiting period, a move that could elevate his stock into the mid major level.

Last years Pump team had 8 high major players.

Benson spent last night in Los Angeles working out at Loyola Marymount University, and the team to see if this will be a good fit.  His decision will come in the next weeks.

More updates on this future D I PG as they come in.
