Drew Thurston was named second team all-region as a junior despite missing four games due to injury. This fall, he knows he has a "lot of yards" and has recorded one touchdown. "I will get my exact stats at the end of the year," he explains.
He did have an offer from Wyoming but that is no longer the case. "They wanted me to commit early and when I didn't they filled the slot so they are not an option anymore."
The main schools showing interest in him now, and the main schools he likes are Washington State, Stanford, Oregon State, Ivy League schools, and San Diego. "I do not have a favorite and I have not set any visits yet. I am just looking for a place with a good business school and football program."
West Point has apparently made him a priority. "They tell me that I am the number one player they have seen and the guy they want most."
Thurston believes he has the moves to succeed. "I am fast, but I block like a lineman. I can really move people. I can run and cut well, but my biggest strength is my speed."
He carries a 4.08 core GPA and scored a 1250 on his SAT, but will re-take it.
Dobson is 3-6 on the season and takes on Yuma Cibola, this Friday.
