24-7's Semi-Finals Playoff Power Rankings

1.) Hamilton (11-1) - They beat Salpointe 42-24 last week and are looking to avenge their only loss of the year this week when they play Highland.

2.) Brophy (11-1) – This is another team that not many people expected to be here during the preseason. They beat a great Red Mountain team 24-0 last week and are playing good football at the right time. They play a hot Mt Ridge team this week.

3.) Highland (9-3) – This is one team that I would not want to play. They have knocked off good team after good team and have put together one of the best months of football maybe in AZ history. They beat Corona last week 21-17 and must not commit the turnovers they did last week if they plan to beat Hamilton again.

4.) Mt. Ridge (8-4) – When was the last time a #16 seed advanced to the final game? I don't know if it has ever happened but this is definitely a team that could. They are hitting on all cylinders and are playing with great confidence evidenced by their 29-26 win over Mt View. They play Brophy this week.

1.) Centennial (12-0) – Centennial could have made an argument to be the #1 team all year long. They are solid at every position have rolled through all competition. Great game this week against Moon Valley.

2.) Moon Valley (12-0) – Scored 63 points against a Flagstaff team that had only given up 71 all year long. Their match-up this week with Centennial is a highly anticipated one and should be a high scoring affair.

3.) Cactus (11-1) – The Cobras beat a very good Cienega team 29-7 to advance to the semis. No one expected this team to be here after all of the losses to graduation. They entered the playoff as the #2 seed and face Saguaro this week. A quote that sums up Cactus is "I don't get no respect."

4.) Saguaro (11-1) – The Sabercats are looking to avenge their lone loss to Cactus in week 1. Saguaro is a much improved team since that 33-10 loss. They upset defending state champs Sunnyside 6-0 last week. This is the Cinderella team of 4A as they entered the playoffs as the #6 seed.
