<STRONG>Valley Police and Firemen play to raise money for charity</STRONG>

The Phoenix Thunder football team is set to kick off its season March 5th at Sunnyslope High School versus Los Angeles Fire Department.  The charity football team, which is comprised of valley firefighters and police officers from within Maricopa County and plays in the National Public Safety Football League (www.npsfl.com), has alot of notable standout on the team.  Players include 8-year NFL veteran Ty Parten, ex-Rattler Cedric Tillman, past ASU standout Kenny Mitchell, Colorado State's Lance Jones, and past NAU standouts Ricky Pearsall and Ben Petrucci.  John Rodriguez (asst. coach-Agua Fria HS) was named Head coach, while legendary coach Pat Farrell(head coach-St. Mary's) accepted the off. coordinator job and Dan Cheatham (St. Mary's) took the def. coordinator position.  Sam Salts, ex-St. Mary's standout, was named receivers coach.  Kick-off is set for 5pm, with pre-game events beginning at 4pm with a meet and great session with the Arizona Cardinal Cheerleaders.  All proceeds from the game go to benefit the Thomas J.
