What is your favorite block to make?
Josh Readel: My favorite block is screen blocking.
24-7: What is your official height and weight?
Josh: 6'2", 220 lbs.
24-7: What is your greatest football memory?
Josh: Playing in the 5A state championship game.
24-7: What are your personal goals for the upcoming season?
Josh: I want to get all region first team linemen.
24-7: How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
Josh: Weight training; yes probably NAU lifting competition, NRTA Football combines.
24-7: What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
Josh: My footwork and blocking schemes.
24-7: Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
Josh: Chris Johnston (DB), Matt Pickering (FB) and Spencer Ast (LB).
24-7: Name one teammate you really respect and why?
Josh: Spencer Ast because he works really hard.
24-7: What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
Josh: I would like to go to a D1 or D2 college.
24-7: Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
Josh: I've received letters from New Mexico and Nevada – no offers yet.
24-7: Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
24-7: Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
Josh: Matt Clapp because he is a good player and hard to block.
24-7: Name one team who you really respect and why?
Josh: Mesa Mountain View because they never give up.
24-7: What other sports do you play?
Josh: I played track last year but I didn't this year.
24-7: What are your best max lifts in the bench, squat, power clean and 40 yard dash?
Josh: 315 bench, 385 squat, 235 power clean, 4.92 40 yard dash.
24-7: How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
Josh: I always give my best effort on every play.
24-7: Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Josh: Walter Payton because he was pretty much unstoppable.
24-7: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Who did you receive it from?
Josh: "Never second guess yourself or hold back" –my dad.
24-7: Tell us what can we expect from your team this season? What can you do to build on last years play off run?
Josh: I think this team will be a little smaller in size but larger in heart. Now that we made it we know what it takes.
