This past season Marcus Richmond of Dobson high made big strides in establishing himself as one of the top backs in Arizona.  With prototypical size and break away speed Marcus should turn the heads on recruiters across the nation.

24-7: What is your favorite thing about playing high school football?

Marcus Richmond: My favorite thing about playing high school football, it has to be the Friday night lights.  It sounds corny but just the fact that you're getting ready to go to war with your buddies. There's no other place I rather be then under those lights at my home stadium.

24-7: What is your official height and weight?

Marcus Richmond: 6-2, 200 lbs.

24-7: What is your greatest football memory?

Marcus Richmond: MY greatest memory has to be the day when coach DeMassa moved me up to varsity my sophomore year and I got to play with my brother Conorie Richmond in his senior year. That was my dream to play with him.

24-7: What are your personal goals for the upcoming season?

Marcus Richmond: My goals for the upcoming season are to continue getting 100 yards or more in every game, work on my ball handling, and double my touchdowns. I had 16 this past year.

24-7: How are you preparing for the upcoming season?  Will you be attending any camps this summer? Have you gone to any combines? How did you do?

Marcus Richmond: Right now I'm running track and working on my footwork on my own just my cuts and so on. This summer, yes I am attending some camps. I'm going to Arizona State's and hopefully I get to go to Oregon's camp this June. Right now I'm still talking it over with my parents about any others such as Nebraska's and Michigan States'.

24-7: What aspects of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?

Marcus Richmond: The thing that I have been working on the most is me holding onto the ball no matter what. I have been walking around my house with a football in my hands at all times I even sleep with it in my arms. I would like to keep improving on exploding off the ball and going through the hole strong and low.

24-7: Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?

Marcus Richmond: This year people need to look out for our tight end Peter Heying, QB Chris Lewis, Center Josh Embree, and Linebacker Jared Tsinnijnnie.

24-7: Name One teammate you really Respect and tell us why?

Marcus Richmond: The person would have to be my OT Brenton Good, he is always there to tell me what I should do next time to get me down the field, and he gives me advice about the college football recruiting world.

24-7: What are your goals regarding playing football in college?

Marcus Richmond: Some of My goals regarding playing football in college is to work hard enough to play my freshman year. As well as playing in the PAC-ten, that has been a goal of mine since I was little.
