Our next interview is with Agua Fria left tackle Jacob Stucky. Last season Jacob earned 1st team all-region honors as well as being named 2nd team all-4A by the Arizona Republic. Jacob carries a 4.1 GPA and will finish in the top 20 of his graduating class. Here's what he had to say.
24-7 Football: What is your favorite block to make?
Jacob: A kick step pass pro, because it takes so much technique.
24-7 Football: What has been the best moment in your football career?
Jacob: Beating Mohave in overtime. We went for 2 in over time and just shoved it down their throat with a dive play.
24-7 Football: What are your personal goals for next season?
Jacob: To not give up any sacks.
24-7Football: What are you doing to prepare for next season? Will you be attending any camps this summer?
Jacob: I am lifting hard, I've been invited to a few college camps but I'm still trying to decide which to attend.
24-7 Football: What aspect of the game are you really trying to work on?
Jacob: My technique because of my size I need to be lower and faster than the guy across from me.
24-7 Football: Who are some teammates that people need to watch for next season?
Jacob: Mitch Wolf-QB, he was a sophomore this year and passed for some 1300 yards. He will be a huge part of the offence this coming year. Nick Martinez-WR, Nick can catch any thing, he has great hands and he can make a move after he gets the ball. George Espinoza-OL/DL, George is a great lineman, he will be a big part of the OL and the DL this coming year. Everson Griffin-FB, if he doesn't want to stop, there is no stopping him, he's like a tank.
24-7 Football: Who is one teammate you really respect and why?
Jacob: Brock Gullet, our right guard, he did a great job as a sophomore. I saw him take on some huge guys at 190 and do just fine. He originally was a tight end but he moved to guard so when he pulls he can run and hit better that other guards. He plays hard every play and never gives up.
24-7 Football: What are your goals as far as playing football in college?
Jacob: I would like to play in a D-1 school.
24-7 Football: Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers?
Jacob: I have gotten letters from Yale, Brown, Princeton, Columbia, Harvard, Amherst, Army, Air Force, Navy, New Mexico State, UNLV, UTEP, and University of Pennsylvania. No offers yet.
24-7 Football: Would you consider staying in state to play?
Jacob: Yes, I would love to play for ASU.
24-7 Football: Name one opponent you really respect and why.
Jacob: The nose from Flagstaff, Joe Bernardi, he's a breast. He was strong, fast and he played hard every play.
24-7 Football: Name one program you respect and why?
Jacob: Moon Valley, the whole team was full of great football players who just loved the game.
24-7 Football: Do you play any other sports?
Jacob: I wrestled 215 lb, I went 25-16 and placed 2nd at regions.

Jacob: 6'2, 235 around 265 bench, 405 squat, 245 power clean and 4.9/5.0 40.
24-7 Football: What is your biggest strength as a player?
Jacob: I play hard every play and I don't care who is in front of me.
24-7 Football: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
Jacob: Brett Farve, you can tell that he really loves the game.
24-7 Football: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Who did you get it from?
Jacob: "To be a leader, you have to know your team." Coach Epley and "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of fight in the dog" my dad says that to me all the time.
24-7 Football: What can we expect from your team next season?
Jacob: We have a tough schedule, but there is some tough dudes on my team, so we'll be fine.
