Are You Ready For Some Football?

A Look at This Weeks Coverage

This is our favorite time of year. We can't wait to get out and cover ball games. All the talk is over, it is time for players across the state to pad up and get after it.

This week our slate of games is a classic.  Things really get moving Friday night where we will bring you coverage of top games from across the state. Last year's undefeated state champion Moon Valley travels to Chaparral to take on the Firebirds.  Last week Chaparral pounded Coconino behind the breakout game of Kyle Williams.  Williams, along with Spencer Rothery and Nick Neuenfeldt make for a talented backfield.  Moon Valley will counter with an offense led by five returning offensive lineman and running back Laron Harrington.

Centennial jumps in feet first to 5A football as they travel to Mesa to take on Mt.View. This game should be a challenge for All-State running back Tim House as he tests his skills against the always stingy Toro run defense.

In other coverage Paradise Valley travels to Peoria to take on the Panthers.  Both teams lost marquee players but both should be solid contenders for a run at a 5A Division II title.  Keep an eye out for running back Tomarcus Jordan of Paradise Valley and Marcus Rodriguez, linebacker of Peoria.  Both of whom could emerge as top players at their position.  Also, Sunnyslope hopes to rebound from a tough loss to Mingus last week.  This could be a tall order as they take on a Greenway team that is hungry for a trip to the playoffs after missing out last season.  We will also have coverage from Tucson as Salpointe hosts Cienega.  Keep your eye on the message board and the chat room as we bring you bonus coverage of Cactus @ Mingus, Pinnacle @ Millennium and Agua Fria @ Thunderbird.

In our quest to bring the best football coverage in the state we will weekly have rankings, previews, message board discussions and game coverage along with our Friday Night Phenoms.  This year we are adding Rich Reid of Cox 7 sports. Rich will highlight the Thursday night game and preview the upcoming Thursday night match up. Also keep an eye out for our recruiting round up stories that will give you the most up to date news and evaluation on Arizona's top recruits.  After games, join our Friday night chat room where you can get the latest scores, statistics and updates.

As always thanks for your support and we look forward to our second year.
