Agua Fria v. Millennium

It only took Millennium 13 seconds to get on the scoreboard as Jermell Galloway took the opening kickoff to the house and the Tigers never relinquished the lead. Millennium's Derek Briese recovered an Agua Fria fumble on the Owl's first possession and punch it in 5 plays later when QB Kirt Brais dove in from 1 yard out to make it 14-0.

Millennium would score on every possession in the 1st half. They made it 17-0 on a 25 yard Dallas Hunter FG and that would be the score at the end of the 1st.

The Tigers continued to roll adding 3 touchdowns in the 2nd period. The 1st was on a 2 yard Chance Priddy run, the 2nd on a 2 yard Aaron Gentry run and the 3rd when Gentry pulled up on a halfback pass and hit Anthony Dunkerly for a 73 yard TD bomb.

The Owls were able to get on the board midway through the 2nd when QB Mitch Wolfe hit WR Rajric Coleman on 12 yard TD pass. The score at the half was Millennium 38 Agua Fria 7.

Luck would not change for the Owls, as they fumbled on their opening possession of the 2nd half and the Tigers scored 6 plays later when Gentry scored again, this time from 3 yards out. Agua Fria was able to answer on their next series. Wolfe hit WR Sean Hurley for a 14 yard TD pass, making it 45-14 at the end of 3.

Agua Fria was able to put some more points on the board late when Wolfe hit WR Nick Martinez on a short TD pass and the two also hooked up for the 2-point conversion. The final in this one was 45-22 Millennium. Millennium finished the season undefeated (11-0) and won the West Valley Region Title.

Millennium's offensive line played extremely well. No matter who was running the ball, it always seemed to be 2nd and short. Millennium has a good stable of running backs and are poised to make a deep playoff run. The run game is obviously their strength but Kirt Brais is a solid and accurate QB. Millennium is not a team full of superstars but the Tigers play tough and fundamentally sound football.

Game Ball:

Millennium QB Kirt Brais was efficient. He went 11 of 15 for 175 yards. The Millennium offensive line was outstanding protecting Brais and blocking for whoever happened to be the ball carrier.
