Eli Davis Transfers to NAIA School

The former Deer Valley star appeared in 27 games for Southern Utah last year...

Eli Davis has transferred to Point Loma Nazerene University after spending his freshman season at Point Loma AthleticsSouthern Utah. He appeared in 27 games for the NCAA Division I program last year, averaging 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in eight minutes per game. 

Davis earned All-State honors playing for Deer Valley HS in Phoenix. As a senior he averaged 14.2 points per game and was a nominee for the McDonalds All-American team. He also ran track and won the Arizona 5A state championship in the 400 meters. "He is a very fine athlete and very versatile," said Head Coach Art Wilmore. "He can guard, take it to the hoop, rebound big time, and score. Most of all he is a great kid."

Davis will join Tim Kruge, 6-8 JR. who played at Valley Christian High School in Chandler.
