Safety Glenn Love from Hamilton HS (Chandler, AZ) made his commitment to UCLA this morning, find out why...

3-star safety Glenn Love from Hamilton HS (Chandler, AZ) sent Scout.com a text message this morning informing the world of his commitment to UCLA and we had a chance to catch up with Love and find out why he chose UCLA.

Scout.com: You had your list narrowed down to three schools, UCLA, Cal and Arizona. So why did he choose UCLA?

Love: "The academics. Cal also has great academics but I really bonded with the players. It just felt better in my heart."

Scout.com: You tripped Cal, UCLA, Arizona and UTEP, compare your visits, what set UCLA apart?

Love: "Cal and UCLA were almost identical. At UCLA the kids made the school, not the surroundings."

"UCLA is ranked number two in the country in engineering. I plan to major in chemical engineering."

"Arizona was close to home and I knew the coaches well."

Scout.com: A year and a half ago when you were injured, did you expect to be where you are today from a recruiting standpoint?

Love: "No. I thought I would get one or two offers."

Scout.com: Did you feel like you had something to prove?

Love: "I had to play well, I had to fit two seasons of football into one."

Scout.com: What would you say your strengths are as a player?

Love: "My vision and my knowledge of the game."

Scout.com: Will you play free or strong safety?

Love: "I will start out at strong."

Scout.com: Who influenced you the most during the recruiting process?

Love: "My family."

Scout.com: How excited is your family?

Love: "Really excited! They would have been excited anywhere I went. They knew I would pick the right school for me. They are just happy that I have gotten this far."

I'm sure that Bruins fans are just as excited to see Glenn Love in the blue and gold.
