Phoenix CB Makes Commitment

Cornerback Jon Ott from Mountain Ridge HS (Glendale, AZ) sent 24-7Football.com an email that said, "I have committed to Nevada."

6'1 185 pound Ott chose Nevada over offers from UNLV and BYU. He was also being recruited by Utah and tripped there on Jan. 12th. He visited Reno on Dec. 15th.

Ott was injured for most of the season this year. He was limited to 27 catches for 458 yards and 3 TDs. He is being recruited as a CB and has been one of the state's best over the past three seasons. He was poised to break the state's career interception record but his injury limited him to 9 tackles and 1 INT ths year for 5-6 Mt. Ridge.

He has shown a great knack for making big plays and his 4.49 speed makes him a hot commodity despite being limited this year. Here are some clips of Ott in action:
