One of next year's top quarterback prospects in Arizona is Bryan Berens from Brophy Prep. Berens first emerged on to the scene as a sophomore starting in the place of Conor Hearn who transferred to California. Berens was a quick study for first year head coach Scooter Molander and he helped Brophy to the state title that year.
Last year Berens had another successful season under center and helped the Broncos to a 9-3 record. He passed for 2102 yards, completed 62% of his passes and threw 22 TDs versus only 5 INTs. He was named 1st team all region and honorable mention all state.
As he breaks into his third and final year as a starter, he looks to be one of the most looked at recruits in the state. His very early favorites are Stanford, Michigan, Northwestern, Arizona, Colorado, Louisville and Nebraska. He is hearing from a ton of others.
