Recruiting Update: Gerell Robinson

Athlete Gerell Robinson from Hamilton HS (Chandler, AZ) committed to Arizona in November. Has that slowed down recruiting?

Gerell Robinson committed to the University of Arizona during November of his junior season. Scout.com was able to chat with Gerell to find out where that recruitment stands.

Scout.com: So what schools are recruiting you and who has offered you?
Gerell: "USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M, UCLA and a few others. Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Arizona State and UTEP (have offered)."

Has your commitment to UofA stopped schools from recruiting you?
"As far as I know no. To be honest it kinda has helped me.

How strong would you say your commitment to UofA is?
"Its' a so-so kind of thing. I'm still checking other schools out in case something doesn't work out.

Are you still open in recruiting?
"Yes, very open to new schools to see what their program is like and what they have to offer."

You played QB as a sophomore, safety as a junior and receiver at the all america combine. What position are most schools recruiting you at?
"It varies. Quite a few want me at QB. A majority for WR and a few for FS only but a lot of the schools like the fact that I'm a true athlete and can plug into multiple positions."

What are your goals next year?
"I will be the best player in Arizona and continue to be one of the best in the nation."

Will you attend any camps this summer?
"Yes, USC's, Ohio State's, Notre Dame's and possibly another or two."
