Q&A with RB James Morrison from St. Mary's HS (Phoenix, AZ). What were your stats/honors from last season?
James Morrison: "93 carries for 518 yards and 5 touchdowns. 17 receptions for 141 yards and 3 TDs. Also 2 special teams returns."

What is your official height and weight?
"5'10, 200 lbs."

What is your greatest football memory?
"My greatest memory was playing in my first Brophy/St. Mary's game."

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"My upcoming goals are to get all state and win a championship."

How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
"I am preparing by running track to stay in shape. I will attend the ASU camp and some other senior camps and a couple of Nike camps out of state."

What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
"One aspect I have worked on was to become an all around player. I would like to improve on quickness and agility."

Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
"Some teammates are Channce Condit, Sean Alvarado, Klayton Kristick, Phil Losada and Darius Mole."

Name one teammate you really respect and why?
"One teamate I respect is Channce Condit because he gives 110% all the time no matter how he feels."

What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
"My college goals are to get an offer and play football as soon as I can."

Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
"Oregon State, Colorado, ASU, Oregon, Cal and Boise State. No I haven't gotten any offers."

Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
"It doesn't matter as long as I am playing."

What would your top 5 college choices be?
"Oregon, Oregon State, ASU, Cal, Colorado."

Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
"Westwood's Brice Wilkins because he was a double threat, he had great instincts on when to throw and run he also was probably the fastest athlete I played."

Name one opponent who you really respect and why?
"I repect the Brophy Broncos because they have earned it."

What other sports do you play?
"Track and field."

What are your best max lifts in the bench, squat, power clean and 40 yard dash?
"Bench-300 lbs, squat-415 lbs, power clean-245 lbs and 40-4.6."
How do you think your coach would describe you as a player? 
"A good all around athlete that is hungry but humble."

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
"My weaknesses are quickness and agility. My strengths are power and speed."

Who is your favorite athlete and why?
"Walter Payton...he was the best running back ever."

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"Stay hungry but humble."
Tell us what can we expect from your team this season?
"We will be a darkhorse because we don't have a lot of players that have been exposed as they should be."

What position do you think you will play in college?
"Running back."

What can a college program expect from you as a player?
"A hard working player that goes all out and willing to do anything to win."

What is your GPA and SAT/ACT score?
"My GPA is 3.3. I havent taken the SAT or ACT yet."

What will the main factors be when you choose a school?
