Q & A with CB Anthony Hooks from Brophy Prep (Phoenix, AZ). What were your stats/honors from last season?
Anthony Hooks: "Total Tackles-42, Fumble Recoveries-2, Interceptions-1, Pass Breakups-10, Blocked FG's/EP's-3."

What is your official height and weight?
"Height-6'0 weight-155."

What is your greatest football memory?
"My greatest football memory was being placed on varsity as a 14 year old, turning 15 and starting as a sophomore and talking trash to seniors when I shut them down. Letting them know that I was young and was out there competing with the best and that same year making all region."

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"My upcoming goals for next season are to make all region again and all state, have 5 INTs, rush for 1000 yards, 250 receiving yards, score 5 TDs on punt return, kick return have 3 touchdowns and have 50 or more tackles."

How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
"Right now I'm just lifting and running. Yes I am going to attend a few camps this summer."

What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
"I haven't worked on any particular part of my game I have just been working on my all around game. I would like to improve on hands and watching the ball all the way into my hands."

Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
"I would have to say Ray Polk (RB)."

Name one teammate you really respect and why?
"Ray Polk because since I have been at this school and been a teammate of his we have had a great friendship but on top of that Ray is humble and works hard."

Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
Colorado state-offered, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Oregon state, University of Arizona, Arkansas, TCU, UCLA and Washington state."

Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
"Yes I would."

What would your top 5 college choices be?
"Every school is in my top 5. I must make the right choice for me and my future."

Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
"Dontay Moch (DE from Hamilton), he was a freak of nature at the age of 18 running a 4.4 at defensive end that is unheard of. He is now playing at Nevada."

Name one opponent who you really respect and why?
"Hamilton because every single year they are fighting to defend their state championship and they run a classy program over there, it's top notch."

What other sports do you play?
"I run track the 200 & 400."

What are your best max lifts in the bench, squat, power clean and 40 yard dash?
"Bench-180, squat-300 and 40-4.45."

How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
"Hard working, have a mean swagger about me, a leader and a very tough kid."

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
"My strengths as a player are I play hard every single play, I am very mentally tough and I never give up. My weaknesses are whenever I don't have a great game I beat myself up harder than I should."

Who is your favorite athlete and why?
"Deion Sanders because when he played he had a sense of style and was still shutting people down and he had a swagger that not too many people have. He knew he was better than everyone else."

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"The best advice I have ever received came from my parents and it was to stay focused on my goals and never give up. God is going to bless me and always work hard in school and never give up no matter how hard the situation may get."

Tell us what can we expect from your team this season?
"You can expect me to have a great season shutting people down and I will receive all state honors, but you can also expect me to be a dual threat on offense and defense."

What can a college program expect from you as a player?
"They can expect me to work hard 24/7 and never quit. They won't have to worry about me not being ineligible because I am focused. They can also expect from me that I will produce on the field."

What is your GPA and SAT/ACT score?
"My GPA is a 2.8 and I just took my SAT."

What will the main factors be when you choose a school?
