Q & A with center Guy Reynolds from Westview HS (Avondale, AZ).

Scout.com: What were your stats/honors from last season?
Guy Reynolds: "All state 1st team, all Arizona center." 
 
What is your official height and weight?
"6-3 305." 
 
What is your greatest football memory?
"1st round (of the playoffs) last year I had 14 pancakes and broke the record for the most in game and in one season for our school."

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"To bench 385, squat 600 and most of all win a state title."
 
How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
"I am in track and working out. I might go to the Michigan summer camp and the UofA elite camp.." 

What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve?
"My feet, my feet are good but I want them to be faster so that I can play a lot lower."
 
Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
"Reggie Nicholson, Brian Conley and Albert Lizaragga." 
 
Name one teammate you really respect and why?
"Albert Lizarraga because he is always under pressure because they say at 5'8" that he cant play QB but he does it and he does it real well."

What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
"Get a good education, play good and start by my sophomore year."
 
Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
"Michigan, Cal, Boise St., Nevada, U of A, Colorado, Harvard, Washington St., Illinois, Oregon and Oregon St. No offers."

Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
"Maybe." 
 
What would your top 5 college choices be?
"Michigan, Cal, Colorado, Boise St., UofA and Oregon St."

Who is the best player you ever played against? Why? 
"Tom Ramsey, he was the d tackle for Centennial. Pretty fast."

Name one opponent who you really respect and why?
"Zach Schlink he is good and plays hard."

What other sports do you play?
"Track and wrestling."

What are your best max lifts in the bench, squat, power clean and 40 yard dash?
"Bench- 330, squat- 525, power clean- 265 and 40- 5.09 ."

How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
"Hard worker, has passion for the game, mauler." 
 
What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
"Strong, good body size, okay feet. Play too high."

Who is your favorite athlete and why?
"Calvin Johnson, he works hard in everything. He has great passion for the game, loves it. Great athlete."

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"Play every down like it is your last. An inch is a sinch, yard by yard is hard and a man is judged by his character."

Tell us what can we expect from your team this season?
"Our team will be good, we work hard and we are developing young offensive linemen. We will be good."

What can a college program expect from you as a player?
"Hard work, dedication, a refuse to lose state of mind."

What is your GPA and SAT/ACT score?
"3.4 and I am taking the ACT on April 14th."

What will the main factors be when you choose a school?
"Good education, high graduation level and good talent and staff."
