Latest in Recruiting from Polk

RB Ray Polk is one of the top prospects one the West Coast. He recently received a new offer and filled in Scout.com on who it came from.

4-star RB Ray Polk from Brophy Prep (Phoenix, AZ) has informed Scout.com via email that he was offered by Utah.

Polk says, "Utah football just offered scholarship. I just opened it in the mail and figured I would let you know."

That makes the 9th offer for the 6-0 200 pound Polk. His other offers are Nebraska, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, San Diego State, Nevada and Oregon State.

Polk's most recent top seven is Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Colorado State and Oregon State. All have offered except Cal. But coaches at Cal and Michigan have recently visted Brophy and Polk thinks they are very interested.

We hope to get a more recent top seven from Ray soon.

Polk shows raw athletic ability. He was thrust into the starting lineup at tailback in game two for Brophy last year when the starter went down with an injury. Despite never playing the position, Polk was outstanding rushing for 1,423 yards and 21 TDs. He was named 1st team all 5A.

Here are clips of Polk versus St. Mary's HS (Phoenix, AZ) from last year:
