All is Calm for Jordan

Arguably the state of Arizona's top prospect is TE Dion Jordan from Chandler HS (Chandler, AZ). He was recently named to's national top 100 list and also ranked the #6 TE prospect in the country. Scout was able to have a brief chat with Dion and get the latest in recruiting from the 4-star player.


He was first asked about his recent ranking in Scout's top 100 and he said that he actually didn't know it was released. But he does say that it is, "Real exciting. I was just looking at that a couple of days ago and was wondering if I would make it. It is real cool."


Jordan actually says that not much as changed for him recruiting wise. He says that Cal's recent offer has put the Bears in his top seven.


Arizona is another one of his top schools. He had a chance to camp down in Tucson but showed up late because he was taking his ACT. He said, "It (the camp) was cool. I got to sit down and talk with the coaches and meet the receivers coach."


In conversation he also mentioned Arizona State and Boise State as two of his other top choices. In regards to ASU he says, "ASU is real cool. They have shown me a lot of love." On Boise he states, "I like their offense. That is the main thing that stood out."


Nebraska, Oregon, Cal and Michigan round out his top seven but he says he hasn't been in contact with any of them much.


He state that he has no plans to commit soon. "I will probably do it after the season." And he adds that he wants to be able to talk it over with his parents before he makes his decision.
