With the Arizona vs. Colorado All Star game talks continuing, 24-7Football.com adds fuel to the fire on who has the better players. We move across to the other side of the ball and do a video comparison of two very good offensive tackles. Both Bryce Givens from Mullen HS (Denver, CO) and Zach Schlink from Centennial HS (Peoria, AZ) are currently 4-star recruits by Scout.com. Givens is ranked #9 nationally while Schlink is the #16 offensive tackle in the country.
Givens stands 6-6 265 and is more of a true left tackle. He has long arms and a lean frame. He still needs to add some weight and strength but he has all of the tools to be a very good tackle at the next level. Givens committed to Nebraska a few months ago. At the time he committed he had 13 offers. He chose the Huskers over offers from Florida, Texas, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Michigan, Colroado State among others. Here is Givens in action, he plays LT and wears #62:
Schlink is now up to 310 pounds and stands 6-4. He plays right tackle but probably will move inside to guard at the next level. He is big, strong and plays with a good base. He may be more prepared to play early then Givens as he is a beast in the weight room with a bench of over 400 pounds. Schlink has offers from Boise State, Washington State, Cal, UCLA, Nebraska, Stanford, Nebraska, Michigan, Oklahoma, Illinois, Oregon State, ASU, Arizona, Colorado, Colorado State, Nevada, San Diego State and Utah. He is wearing #75 in this video:
