You be the judge, who has better players? We start this debate by comparing Arizona's and New Mexico's top QBs.
It is always fun to debate which
state has the best football players. 24-7Football.com.com wants to add some fuel
to that fire. We add on to the Colorado versus Arizoa debate by throwing New
mexico into the mix. With New Mexico and
sharing borders and both being listed in Scout.com's Southwest region, we
thought it would be fun to do video comparisons on the top signal callers from
each state. We provide video of Artesia QB Landry Jones and 3-star QB Sean Renfree from Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, AZ.
Renfree emerged on to the scene
with an amazing performance at Scout.com's San Francisco combine. His great performance
there quickly made him one of the hottest QB prospects on the west coast. The
6-3 200 pound Renfree committed to Georgia Tech a few weeks ago but before he
committed he had offers from Boise State, Arizona State, Stanford, Army,
Arizona, Oregon State and the Yellow Jackets. He is sound fundamentally, has a
quick release and good footwork. Sean is currently ranked the #17 QB prospect in
the country by Scout.com and is a 3-star. Here is video of Renfree from his
Jones may be the best prospect to
come out of New
Mexico…ever. He is the state's first 5-star prospect.
His name became legendary last year after he threw for over 4,000 yards and led
the Bulldogs to the 4A state title. Jones committed to Oklahoma a few months
ago. He had offers from New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oregon,
Arizona, UCLA, Virginia, Stanford,
State, Colorado, Iowa and California before choosing to be a Sooner.
Jones stands 6-5 and weighs 215 pounds. He has a very strong arm and is
extremely accurate. Jones is currently ranked the #3 QB prospect in the country
by Scout.com and is a 5-star. Here are clips of Jones from his junior
