Every game becomes even more important as the season winds down. Playoff spots are at stake and region titles are on the line.
Here are some of the players that had big nights on Friday:
Player of the week
I get blamed for not always giving
enough credit to the small school players but
Brophy QB Bryan Berens stayed hot in their win over rival St. Mary's. He was 13 of 19 for 204 yards and 3 TDs.
Junior Kevin Yost from

Salpointe's Trevor Eggleston got Salpointe back to .500 with 3 passing TDs and 1 rushing.
It would be hard to duplicate the
night that Keelan Johnson had for
Jamal Miles from
Centennial's Jeff Hughes had 185 yards and a score on just 19 carries in their win over Westview.
One of the state's toughest
Mike Brown from Cactus was big again, adding 3 TDs to his season total.

Ironwood Ridge RB D'Juan Cherry reached the endzone 5 times against Rincon. He had 172 yards and 5 TDs on 15 carries.
And you have to give it up to the Marana o-line, they paved the way for 529 yards rushing.
Four of Renfree's six TDs went to WR Brandon Hirneise.
Millennium sophomore Marquis Flowers forced a fumble and recovered it and that led to a field goal and he blocked a punt for a safety. These two plays were crucial in the Tigers' 15-7 win over Queen Creek. It sets up a nice game versus Cactus for the region title.
