It looks as though wide receiver C.J. Westbrooks from Phoenix (Az.) Moon Valley will follow in his brother's footsteps and play division-one football.
Waymon Westbrooks played wideout at Nevada and today C.J. became the second in his family to be recruited at the wide receiver position. 24-7Football.com has learned that C.J. (6-3 180) has been offered by the University of Colorado.
"I got an official letter in the mail about a week ago," Westbrooks tells us.
His first toughts were, "Wow, this is pretty exciting."
After further research, C.J. was even more impressed. "I looked online about them and they have a very good school and a nice campus."
Never being to Boulder, Westbrooks says he plans on visiting on April 15th for an unofficial visit. At this point he has no other plans for any camps, junior day or unofficial visits.
Other schools that have shown interest have been Colorado State, Oregon State, Northern Arizona, San Diego State, LSU and Idaho but C.J. admits that the Buffs are his current favorite for being the first ones to extend an offer.
Last season in just seven games, Westbrooks caught 82 passes for 810 yards and 4 scores.
He maintains a 2.8 GPA and is scheduled to take the SAT next month.
